Product Description
KTIRA LIVERPRO's main ingredient, "Amphis®," is an extract extracted from a herb belonging to the Acanthaceae family, known in Japan as Andrographis paniculata. It is a trademark of Seiko Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., a member of the Shiratori Pharmaceutical Group, and is named after the scientific name of Andrographis paniculata, which is an easy-to-remember shortened version.
It is a folk plant that has been used for health maintenance and other purposes in India, China, the Indochina Peninsula including Thailand, and Indonesia since ancient times. The stems and leaves are very bitter and are harvested in late summer. In recent years, it has started to be recognized as an ingredient that is attracting attention, second only to turmeric.
Many scientific studies have revealed that andrographolide, neoandrographolide, and 14-deoxyandrographolide are the active substances. The main component and active compound, andrographolide, is a colorless crystal with a very bitter taste. It has a long history of use in Thailand as a traditional medicine (herb) for maintaining health, treating liver problems, cold symptoms, various allergies, fevers, pain, and various inflammations.
Since then, scientific verification has been conducted by many research institutes due to pharmacological interest, and animal experiments have confirmed its analgesic, antipyretic, antiulcer, and liver function protecting effects. In particular, there have been many reports on its liver function protecting effects, and remarkable improving effects have been observed.
